VINTAGE -This cool 39 year old Strat plays, feels, sounds and looks great! In the early 80’s Dan Smith who was in charge of Fender at the time decided the Standard Stratocaster with the larger 70’s headstock was to be phased out in favor of a revised Standard Stratocaster featuring the smaller vintage style headstock and only one volume knob and one tone knob, these are called the Dan Smith era Strats. There were not many of these rare Starts built and are a cool part of Fender’s rich history. The guitar is all original with a new vibrato arm and newer Fender case.
