The "Non-Reverse" Firebird guitars were introduced in summer 1965 offering the I, III, V and VII models. This 1966 "Non-Reverse" Firebird V model has a 24 ¾ scale length with a one-piece mahogany body and a mahogany set neck, sunburst lacquer finish, and an unbound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

The guitar features the original pair of special Firebird mini-humbucking pickups with all original chrome plated hardware, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and Gibson's "long" Lyre Vibrola unit, original 3-way toggle switch, original Firebird pickguard and a set of aftermarket Schaller tuners. Comes with an non-original hardshell case. In excellent condition with no neck cracks. This guitar was built over 50 years ago in Kalamazoo, Michigan at the original Gibson plant and is one of only 342 made that year, a real slice of Americana!
